Saana Koivusalo is a Helsinki-based architect (SAFA) and real estate professional at Central LKV. She has led her own independent creative practice Atelier Saana Koivusalo full-time since 2020 — specializing in architectural designs and spatial artworks.
Her architectural work is centered on private restorations and spatial transformations — recalibrating existing spatial logics to align more precisely with contemporary ways of living.
A consistent principle in her practice is a careful reading of and respecting what already exists. Interventions are developed in relation to the building’s original structure, typology, and historical context, with particular sensitivity to architectural language and style.
